Album of the Evening- Chimes of Freedom

Album of the Evening – Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan, Honoring 50 years of Amnesty International (2012)

I mentioned this album yesterday- this is the collection through which I started listening to The Airborne Toxic Event. There are quite a few other great covers in this 4 disc collection. Miley Cyrus, Billy Bragg, Angelique Kidjo, Sugarland, Maroon 5, Bad Religion, Carly Simon, Darren Kriss, Dierks Bentley, Thea Gilmore, Carolina Chocolate Drops, and many more familiar names appear among the artists, and the covers as a collection explore the range of songs Bob Dylan contributed to the music world. The whole collection takes over 5 hours to play through, making this a great choice for road trips,studying-time music, or to put on random while cleaning the house.

Needless to say, this is one of my favorite multi-artist compilation albums.
