Reading Challenge Update 9/3/14

What I am now reading: Valhalla Rising, by Clive Cussler – a bit of a slow start, but it’s getting a lot better.

Also reading The Faithful Bumping into Geniuses America on Wheels

I have 2 books now that arrived in the mail thanks to Goodreads’ First Reads program. I also went through and downloaded a bunch of books off Edelweiss- it’ll make my stats on that site look awful, but a lot of the accounts on that site are companies, not single bloggers, so actually a lot of users on there have a lot of unread books relative to completed books on their stats. As just one reader I only finish 7-10 books per week, more if I have fun books to intersperse with the tougher ones.

I also started working on my blog some more, now that I have an affilliate account with Book Depository. It’ll work best if I can make my blog site the hub for all the rest of my online Ravenmount stuff, always my intention but not yet entirely successful. Social media can be challenging to balance and integrate, and I read and review lots of genres, books as well as music. I’m sure it’ll get easier if I just fix a bit at a time and keep at it.

The blog work takes time and attention away from reading, unfortunately, but as soon as my chocolates resolidify in the fridge (again- they keep melting cause I keep setting them near my book and forgetting to eat them) I’m going back to reading. The goal tonight- finish 3 books. I’ll let you know when that’s done.
