If you read a lot do you ever find that your home becomes overrun with stacks of books you intend to read next? The stack in the image for this post is one I put together for the readathon I am participating in, the Trees of Revelry Readathon. Have you read any of these lovely books?
Actually what usually happens is that I stack up a bunch of books I plan to read next, and then I pull books from a different shelf entirely and read those instead. With hundreds of books to choose from, it is easy to get distracted by other books. I am also organizing my bookshelves, finally, a task that is badly needed since I haven’t really sorted my books since I unpacked them onto their shelves after my move in April.
As many bibliophiles find to be true, organizing bookshelves is dangerous work, because you rediscover all sorts of books you want to read RIGHT NOW, and often find yourself sitting on the floor next to an unfinished bookshelf of jumbled books, reading a chapter or even a whole book that grabbed you while you were trying to work.
Books are sneaky, and some are really good at what they do.
