A Book A Day #8 – Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry Into Values, by Robert M. Persig

File:Zen motorcycle.jpgIt is a common failing of really smart people that they enjoy books that allow them to preen a bit. Well, if you think of yourself as a really smart person, here is a fantastic book within which to preen your genius feathers. Persig is a really smart person, and has a lot of great things to say in his best-seller book for even the most ordinary person. He shares insights on integrity, perseverance and life in general, along with his tales about traveling around the highways and backways of the United States on his motorcycle. He does come across as a bit stuck up sometimes, and very full of himself, but what he has to say is still well worth reading and understanding.
