Weekly 20 Songs Playlist: September 7

Another week, another playlist, the first one for September. It’s hard to believe I’ve been doing these lists for 9 weeks now- I am well known for coming up with grand ideas that I simply have no time or energy for after a while. I really just need a clone machine, like the one from the old Banana Man episode with all the Apple Man and Banana Man clones rolling out on a conveyor belt. Anyway, here is the new list, with lots of Colorado regional favorites, a few more mainstream folks and of course one from Celtic Thunder, sung by Keith Harkin. Keith’s debut album came out this week in Canada, but won’t be out in the US until September 18; he’s getting antsy waiting for the American fans’ reactions, but he knows, I hope, that he’s created a great album, that we’ll all absolutely love when we finally hear it. In the meantime there is a lot of great music left to discover. Happy Listening!

The List:

1. “Shake It Out”- Florence + the Machine (Ceremonials) [Recommendation from a friend]
2. “Lullabye”- Fiach (So I)
3. “L’ami”- Nelson (Natural Trio) [Nelson Gotteland, not The Nelsons, but on Spotify and Amazon both are listed as Nelson. This one’s French.]
4. “The Homes of Donegal”- Celtic Thunder, Keith Harkin (Take Me Home)
5. “Come Talk to Me”- Bon Iver (Holocene b/w Come Talk to Me) [Referred to by Emmet Cahill in a mini-interview clip last week]
