Weekly 20 Songs PlayList: July 20

New week, new song list. I somewhat understand why most radio stations are happy to only play a few songs over and over again- it takes a bit more effort to look for great music than to play what one already has. Still, there is a lot of great music out there, and not just from Irish people. (This project started in part because I realized a bit over a week ago that I know more about the current Irish music scene than I know about local music, so hopefully my playlists will gradually come to reflect the fact that I live in Colorado, and sadly not in Ireland.)This week’s list has quite a few newer songs, ones I found this past week, plus plenty of ‘old’ favorites. I’ll leave you to guess which ones are which. 🙂
As before, all these songs are very good. I spend far too much time in the McDonalds down the street, and they only ever play the same ~20 songs every day, on random repeat. So, my criteria for making my lists is that the songs must catch my attention as particularly good, and they have to be songs I would not hate if they were to replace the ones overhead at McDonalds for the rest of the month.

The List:

1. “I (Who Have Nothing)”- Mary Byrne, from Mine & Yours
